Marnie Stickley, MSW, RSW


Marnie is a Registered Social Worker with a Masters of Social Work degree focused on collaboration between non-profit agencies and police. She has 22 years of direct client service in a collaborative practice with the Vancouver Police Department, providing client centered interventions in high lethality cases of family violence. Marnie’s clinical work is focused on individual empowerment and resiliency in the context of systemic intervention. She believes that through connection with others and access to knowledge we can all find a place of belonging both inside ourselves and in our communities. Marnie provides training to a wide range of audiences in the areas of trauma-informed crisis management, mental health, violence-prevention and family violence. She brings humor and energy to difficult topics and makes workshop material relevant and practical for a diverse range of audiences.

Crisis Response Planning

To effectively respond to critical incidents (violence, suicide, tragedy, etc.), schools, communities and organizations need to plan ahead of time so they are prepared to respond to these unfortunate events. This training will focus on how to organize effectively and quickly at a time of high stress so that groups are better prepared to respond to the emotional needs of those affected by a critical incident. Cancellation Policy

Registrations cancelled 7 or more days prior to the workshop are refundable, minus a $50.00 administrative fee. Alternatively you may receive a credit to attend a future training. Cancellations less than 7 days prior to the workshop are non-refundable. If at any time you are unable to attend, you are welcome to transfer your registration to another individual at no extra cost. In this case, please notify CTRI of the name of the alternate person who will be attending.

We reserve the right to cancel workshops due to unforeseen circumstances or under-enrolment. Liability is limited to a refund of workshop fees only. Please make travel arrangements with this in mind.

You Will Receive

A spiral bound training manual and workshop certificate as well as morning and afternoon refreshments. Participants are on their own for lunch from noon to 1:00 PM, unless otherwise stated above. For livestream participants, you will receive a pdf copy of the manual.

Group Registration Instructions

To register a group for a workshop, register for selected workshop, then once in shoppping cart, add quanitity of participants and provide names of all participants.

Continuing Education Credit

While many associations and licensing bodies accept CTRI workshops for continuing education credits, questions about approval should be directed to the specific association or licensing body for which you are requesting the credits. Credit hours: A two day workshops earns 12 continuing education hours and a one day workshop earns 6 hours. A certificate will be awarded upon the completion of the workshop.
