Janelle Jackiw, MA, MEd


Janelle holds a Master’s Degrees in both Criminology and Educational Psychology, and she is a Certified Clinical Counsellor (CCC). Her background and practice is in the area of counselling, with specific interest in the area of mental health and wellness, stress management, suicide/self-injury and trauma. Janelle believes that people create important change in their lives when they have meaningful connections to others and have a sense of passion and purpose for their life. In addition to training with CTRI, she carries a client caseload part-time, works for the Ministry of Justice and is a sessional lecturer at the University of Regina. Janelle is an energetic presenter who enjoys delivering training workshops that are relevant and practical.

Critical Incident Group Debriefing (CIGD) is a short-term group intervention process that focuses on an immediate event. Cancellation Policy

Registrations cancelled 7 or more days prior to the workshop are refundable, minus a $50.00 administrative fee. Alternatively you may receive a credit to attend a future training. Cancellations less than 7 days prior to the workshop are non-refundable. If at any time you are unable to attend, you are welcome to transfer your registration to another individual at no extra cost. In this case, please notify CTRI of the name of the alternate person who will be attending.

We reserve the right to cancel workshops due to unforeseen circumstances or under-enrolment. Liability is limited to a refund of workshop fees only. Please make travel arrangements with this in mind.

You Will Receive

A spiral bound training manual and workshop certificate as well as morning and afternoon refreshments. Participants are on their own for lunch from noon to 1:00 PM, unless otherwise stated above. For livestream participants, you will receive a pdf copy of the manual.

Continuing Education Credit

While many associations and licensing bodies accept CTRI workshops for continuing education credits, questions about approval should be directed to the specific association or licensing body for which you are requesting the credits. Credit hours: A two day workshops earns 12 continuing education hours and a one day workshop earns 6 hours. A certificate will be awarded upon the completion of the workshop.
