Kristen is a Registered Psychologist who has a Master of Education Degree and a Postgraduate Certificate in Psychological Assessment. In addition to training with CTRI, she is the Manager for Professional Best Practices within the Centre for Applied Disaster and Emergency Management at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, and is a Professor of Psychology at Concordia University. Kristen also has a clinical practice where she specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and grief and loss within cognitive behavioural and solution-focused frameworks. She is a lifelong learner who believes that continuous development of self-awareness is essential to one’s ability to serve others. As a trainer, Kristen combines her experience in psychological research and clinical work to enhance self-discovery and skill development. She is a passionate facilitator who uses warmth and humour to create engaging and meaningful workshops.
