Elizabeth Shein, MSW, RSW


Elizabeth Shein, Trainer for CTRI

Elizabeth is a Registered Social Worker with over 25 years of experience in clinical and community social work. She holds a Master of Social Work degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Studies. Elizabeth has extensive experience in mental health clinical practice and community-based prevention and promotion programs in diverse rural, urban and Indigenous communities.  As a clinician, she believes in the inherent wellness of individuals, groups and communities, and she works from the perspective of uncovering and transforming traumatic influences, unhealthy patterns and coping strategies. Elizabeth has a deep interest in the influence of emotions on physical well-being. A mindfulness perspective is integrated into all aspects of her work. As a trainer, Elizabeth engages participants at a real-life level, using humour and storytelling.
