Randy is the founder & Chief Vision Officer of the Crisis & Trauma Resource Institute Inc. He is a Registered Social Worker who holds a Master of Social Work degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Conflict Resolution.
Before founding CTRI, Randy worked directly with issues of trauma as a clinician in community and hospital settings. He has since expanded the focus of his training and consulting to address crisis response in schools and indigenous communities. He is the author of CTRI’s Crisis Response Planning training material and is author of The Ordinary Leader, and co-author of The Culture Question and A Little Book About Trauma-Informed Workplaces.
Randy believes it is vital for organizations to increase their capacities for responding to traumatic events. He is gifted at helping organizations develop communication and decision-making processes for how to effectively respond to critical incidents. He is an intuitive facilitator who is passionate about engaging all participants in conversations and implementing a systems approach to crisis response planning.
